Frisbie baking company

A.K.A. Brett’s Brewery

This started out as Campbell’s Brett’s Brewery kit, which I built pretty much stock. I added the scratch built warehouse building shown in the front to help disguise this popular kit.

The warehouse is completely scratch built, including the brickwork masters I made a mold for and cast in plaster.

There is a bit of a story behind the name of this industry, see if you can figure it out…

  1. This one is easy. The Frisbie Baking Company is where the Frisbee toy everyone plays with at the beach and in the park comes from. Kids in the area of the real bakery used the Frisbie pie tins in the expected way, and some guy from Wham-O sees it and gets the idea to make the toy in plastic, and a legend is born. Of course they changed the name just a little so as not to get sued!

    Nice model.
