Downtown Port Kelsey

A few passengers mill about as they wait for the twice daily except Sunday local to arrive.

The building in the background is a Magnuson Models merchant’s row kit. The awnings were made on one of first ink-jet printers on the market in the early 90’s. I discovered quite early on just how useful these printers are for model railroaders.

Port Kelsey Waterfront

A harbour tug pulls up alongside the dock.

This tugboat is a Lindberg Line model kit, which I think is discontinued now, but can sometimes be found at flea markets. Or you might try contacting Lindberg directly at :

328 N. Westwood Ave.
Toledo OH 43607
USA
Phone: 800.537.0295
Fax: 419.536.4159

They don’t appear to have email or a web site.

I re-worked the water and boat in this scene in August ‘97 – the same weekend Princess Di was killed, thus the name “La Princepessa”, “The Princess” on the boat. A moment of sappiness.
