What she saw in there….
Inside of SR&RL coach
This is the inside of the coach from yesterday’s picture. These passenger cars are amazing! Since this was a narrow gauge railroad, that is, about 40% smaller in size than the normal equipment, everything is proportionately smaller. Stepping into this coach I felt like a giant, I think these were designed for hobbits!
This is the first class washroom at the back of the car. It still sported the original porcelain bowl with wooden seat. The plumbing is simple, a hole to the tracks.
The craftsmenship in this car is exquisite, simple, yet very well done. Apparently this car was used as a hunting camp for 40 years until being discovered by some local rail buffs. The inside was still in good shape, and they are in the process of restoring it to its former glory.
How that toilet survived all those years is beyond me, I have met hunters…..

Where are the spiders? I don’t see any spiders but it is interesting as to what was inside.
I’m sure there is a spider or two under that toilet seat…
