Yours truly….

Tim Warris and Brian Ploj a long time ago….

I ran across this picture in an album the other day, and I figured since it has a train in it…..

This picture was taken with an old Kodak 110 format camera, at the CNE grounds in Toronto. I am the one on the right, to my left is Brian Ploj, as kids were were inseperable. We were both train buffs and each had our own “train set”. I recall we could never get them to run properly, so we used to just take the motors out of the engines, and push them. They always ran smooth.

Well, 25 years later, I keep the motors in the engines, but they still run better if you just push them.

If you are using any of our new “TwistTies” laser cut flexible tie strips, chances are Brian is the one who drew them.

Paris, Ontario

Another red thing.

Spent a few hours yesterday freezing and taking some pictures around Paris and Brantford. Paris is the location of the first phone call made by Alexander Graham Bell from his laboratory in Brantford, and for that reason Brantford is commonly called “The telephone city“, recently changed back from “The home of Wayne Gretzky“…

Anyway, this image was taken at “Paris Junction”, which is no longer a junction. A popular railfanning location with lots of traffic. At one time a large concrete coaling tower stood close to where this picture was taken.
