Port Kelsey Train Station

The small station in downtown Port Kelsey. I have GOT to get the backdrops painted soon.

You might notice that older pictures like the ones in Model Railroader and Canadian Railway Modeller that I had a commercial backdrop in place, but I removed it when I incorporated the model into the larger layout, intending to use a more unique one.

Strip Mall

A Downtown Deco kit purchased from a consignment shop.

Most of these signs were made on my printer. With a bit of work, these kits can give you very good results.

Port Kelsey Terminal

Bridge to Terabithia video Close up shot of the stonework on the Port Kelsey terminal.

After painting the building with a can of automotive primer, I applied a “wash” of diluted acrylic black paint. I then dry brushed all the stonework with white paint, really makes the detail stand out.

I plan on using this building across the back of the main yard which is off the layout in another room. (My shop!)
